In Pursuit of EGI’s Smallholder Acceleration and REDD Plus(SHARP) Programme, EGI Director, John Takang with Durrel Halleson (WWF Business and Industries Coordinator) and Jan Kessler (consultant from Aidenvironment- Netherlands), met with the CDC Palm Oil Palm Group Management on 7th February 2018.
The team equally visited some CDC field installations (Bota Palm Estate, main nursery, and Idenau Oil Mill)
This Meeting with CDC was situated within a broader programme of EGI Partner, WWF’s Market Transformation Initiative.
Discussions centred around our collective aimed at improving the livelihoods of small-scale producers around CDC plantations.
In this regard, the team equally visited the Tiko Area Oil Palm Farmers’ Cooperative (TAOPFCOOP) on 8th February 2018.
The aim of this meeting was to discuss work done till date and to document the challenges TAOPFCOOP faces.
